Since I founded Bitcoin for Fairness in late 2021, traveling and working have been intensive and taxing on my health. I took some time over the summer to look back on what we achieved in recent years and what I want to focus on in the future.
We had a big setback with our cooperation partner for the 501(c)(3) donating option. That means we have had no funding for the BFF work since the start of the year. This has been very stressful. On top of that, the Coldcard hack and the Liquid Network theft strained my energy.
We closed the Crack the Orange scholarship program, which was a huge success with 156 graduates from 20 African countries, all Bitcoin builders and educators, many of whom started their own initiatives in their region. Currently, we are writing a report for our donors and will update the BFF website accordingly.
I am spending a lot of my time learning about nutrition and doing sports. I started serious weight training in July as I understand the importance of it for a long, healthy life. Additionally, I get my basic endurance back with long and rather boring bike rides.
Reflecting on my journey led me to the decision to find a permanent apartment again. I will be in South Africa from December to March, which means the search will start in 2027.
